| Luxor rose in significance during the Middle Kingdom but there are archaeological examples in the area that pre-date this time. Some temples have undergone massive reconstruction and tombs restoration work which gives the visitor an indication of their former glory to marvel at and enjoy. We have included infromation on the Pharaohs, Nobles, Gods and Goddesses along with a Photo Gallery of images of the ancient sites that were taken at the end of the nineteenth and the beginning of the twentieth century.
