| The Abu el Haggag is a local festival which has an Islamic base as it is in honour of Abu el Haggag Luxor's patron Sheikh but it does also respresent the Opet Ceremony of Pharaonic times and has pagan connections. It is Luxor's main festival and is celebrated by all Luxor residents regardless of religion. | |||||||||
